Being a communications major, I know the power of the media. So, I'm not really surprised by any of the methods that are used. One being-how they are trying to always freak us out. I know it's their job, it's how they get viewers. I get it.
What really makes me laugh is when they make something bigger than what it really is.
I don't know about your neck of the woods, but yesterday I was watching a 'featured' news story about a shortage of pumpkin pie and how there will be a lack of toys for Christmas! Oh my goodness! What will we do to survive? (I'm using a sarcastic tone by the way.) I guess we will have to eat cherry or apple pie. Lol.
It's definitely time for us to focus on what is really important in our lives-faith and family. Not, what the media tells us is important. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone thought this way?
This was my rant for today. :)
Love & Blessings,
Monique

And did you hear about the Eggo shortage? Yes, it's important to focus on the important things, but I admit I like the break for these sorts of stories from time to time too.
